 Freshwater Bioassessment

How do you know if an aquatic ecosystem is health? In this course, we learn how scientists use living organisms to assess whether a given freshwater is healthy or unhealthy. Knowledge of organisms and their sensitivity to different environmental conditions can help us make these determinations!

 Fisheries Management and Conservation

Lets catch some fish (scientifically) and learn how the data can be used to assess populations and communities of fishes within lakes, reservoirs, and streams.  In this course, we cover the history fisheries management in North American, then explore the ways we catch fish, collect and analyze data, and use that information to manage fisheries in a sustainable manner.
